Meet the Leadership Team
An Omaha native, Erin Thoman, grew up playing soccer competitively before completing boot camp and medic training in the Army after high school. After returning to Omaha, she completed her undergraduate program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center earning her Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
Accepting new patients
There isn’t much about working at Nebraska Home Pediatrics & Parents that doesn’t bring Autumn Colpetzer joy. Autumn has been with NHP&P since January 2023, and has had a lot of fun collaborating with the team, drawing upon everyone’s individual experiences and blending them together to further develop the practice.
Kayla loves the satisfaction of creating relationships with patients and their families. She knows how important it is to have trust in your medical team and those who take care of your children, and wants to be able to build trust with the people she works with.

Alix Sandbothe, DNP, APRN-NP, FNP-BC/C, PNP-AC
Alix Sandbothe enjoys everything about working with children. She thinks they’re much tougher than we are as adults, and that their honesty keeps you on your toes. Alix’s main priority is simply to help her patients and their families.
Jill Brown, MSN, APRN-NP, FNP-C
Jill Brown is excited to be part of a team that is trying to make a difference in the Omaha community. She loves working with people who have various experiences in healthcare, their careers, and their personal lives. She believes this has shaped a vision with a goal to give parents the best care for their children with a new approach.
Amanda Malina APRN, NP-C
Amanda Malina received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Clarkson College. She will complete her Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner post-master’s certificate through Washburn University in May 2026.

Kayla Mass, BSN, RN

Marisa Cherry, BSN, RN
Marisa Cherry, RN, BSN, is a compassionate and dedicated nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Methodist College. With a heart for helping others, Marissa finds joy in bringing smiles to her patients’ faces and making a positive impact in their lives.
Caitlin Smith, CMA
Caitlin Smith is our first certified medical assistant at NHP&P. She received her clinical medical assistant certification through Stepful.

Alex Lawrence
Alex is an Assistant Manager and a Certified Professional Coder (CPC-A) with nearly 13 years of experience in the medical field, including time spent at another private practice. With a passion for patient care, particularly children, Alex finds joy in ensuring every patient feels comfortable and cared for, especially when they’re under the weather
Lauren Leggit
With a wealth of experience and a passion for helping others, Lauren brings a unique perspective to her role at NHP&P. Starting as a parent and patient, she was so impressed with the care and environment that she decided to become part of the team.

Kids don’t get sick from 9-5M-F at your convenience and the staff recognizes that. Being able to get a kid in first thing Saturday for an ear infection or flu test helps the entire family recover quicker. Not to mention the cleanliness of the facility and not feeling like you’ll get sick from just being in the waiting room.
While I was out of town and my son was sick, my husband was able to get him at the office during the weekend urgent care hours! He was seen quickly and taken care of! Does a mom heart good knowing we receive great care!
We have loved having them as our primary care provider and for urgent care needs. As a mom of 3 I appreciate the swiftness of appointments and attention we receive.
